Coronavirus Information

Planning for a safe play

A full COVID risk assessment had been completed for the safety of our team and customers. Things will therefore be a little bit different for the time being. Capacity had been reduced to 40% of our usual capacity and we will be constantly reviewing our processes.
Furniture has been re-arranged to meet social distancing. The sofas have been removed to make cleaning easier. The activity table, reading area and quiet room are all temporarily not available.  We have increased the amount of fresh air ventilation.
We require everyone over the age of 11 to wear a face covering to comply with government requirements. These do not need to be worn when consuming food or drink at a table but do need to be worn in all other areas. As usual no picnics, birthday cakes allowed. Socks must be worn by everyone in the play frame. We have these for sell as well as our new Ninja socks.
Play Sessions will need to be pre booked online. To start with the majority of sessions will be 1hr ½ in length. This allows us to manage capacity and also clean and sanitise high touch points between the next session. Your booking details will then full fill requirements for the government track and trace program.. Tickets can be booked at
Our cleaning regime will continue and attention will be paid to high touch areas between each session. We will also be fogging the play area equipment, seating area and toilets once a week with a protective sanitiser. In addition to floor mopping we will use a machine to deep clean the floor once a week, more often if required.
During our closed period the play equipment has been deep cleaned and its annual independent safety inspection completed.  Our brand new Ninja Course for 7-11 year olds on the mezzanine has also been installed.
Our team have received COVID training. They are required to social distance and we are encouraging them to wear a face-covering as well as more frequent hand washing and symptom checking at the start of their shift.

Opening times
Please do not visit if your child or anyone in your household is feeling un-well or has any COVID symptoms.
Upon arrival please queue outside prior to your session using the socially distanced floor markers to guide you.
At reception please state your booking reference and name so we can check you in. You will be asked to sanitise your hands prior to entry.
There is a one way system around the seating area and all the seating is fixed seating placed to allow for social distancing. Please do not move it. Please do not use any seating marked with an X.
We ask your to sit in your own household group and only use the minimum number of tables you need.
At the entrance to the toddler and main play area a team member will be present. This is to control the number of people within the areas and to ask children and adults to sanitise their hands before entering and leaving the play area.
Parents we will require you supervise your children at all times and you are welcome to enter the play areas as usual. On the main play frame we are asking children to stay one floor pad away from the person in front. In certain areas there may be a one way system and there will be floor stickers to guide you.
Our new ninja course is open on the mezzanine. This is suited to children 7 -11 years. When using the stairs please keep to the left. On the ninja course itself one person per lane please. Parents please supervise your children at all times.

We are currently in tier 2, each household must sit on their own table. If you are in tier 3, you should follow government guidelines and not visit. Brean Play memberships have currently been frozen, due to our reduced operating schedule until the 4th of January. Members wishing to visit are required to pay the admission fee.
Birthday Parties
We hope to resume these shortly. At the moment we are making good use of the party rooms as an extension to Brean Splash Gym. We are waiting for some more government guidance before resuming with parties.
